What a fun newsy board today.
George I hope you continue to keep feeling better and better.

Nancy, WOW what an awesome quiting smoking gift !! I am a Mark Martin, Jimmy Johnson gal myself.

Aime. You have been on my mind daily. The birthday had to be a hard day. We would love to see some new pictures of LP.

Judy, You have a son? I had no idea that you had children.I am glad you are not making chocolate chip cookies in my house. They would talk to me, untill I ate them to shut them up.

I think baby Hunter and Mom will be going home from the hospital today. I am afraidto call up there. You know how busy discharge day can be. I only work about 5-6 blocks from the hospital and Iwould love to get a picture of them wheeling her out with baby if the timing is good. I stayed up late last night making shoulder cloths. ( Burp rags)  I got some soft flannel in froggys and some cream color. I rel you what 2 yards of fabric makes a LOT of them. I am giving 4 to a gal at  the legion. 5 to liz  and Ibet I could still make another half dozen. They are fast and easy. I will make some tokeep here too.

I had a bad crash in my eating last night. Faith(GD) is selling candy bars and Ibought and ate 2 of them. What was I thinking??!? Sigh, now today I have gas from h*ll and cravings. bad jean bad bad !!

Legion Auxilliary tonight, being taken out to dinner tomorrow night as a thank-you for the child care I did for the Air Force Reserve Unit last month. Then Saturday I clean the church and decorate for Liz& Rays shower. Sunday is the shower and Taco feed. No rest for the wicked.. Who was it on the board a couple weeks ago who said they were single and bored at night??? I  crave quiet nights.   Have a wonderful day !! Oh Oh we are going into a few days of 50 degrees..yippeee, no snow to worry about driving in. Blessings

Hello, family!  Another cold frosty day here even though the sun is shining.  Derek was out plowing  and salt/sanding all night so he is sound asleep. I've been able to stay home most of this week.  But I got alot of housework done...not EVERYBODY is blessed with a HouseCleaning Fairy *pouts*

Today is my oldest son, Danny's, 34th birthday.  Poor guy is stressed...he is an electronics engineer, working in R&D, as a designer of prototypes for aviation, Dan works long hours.  Add to that, he does consultant work on the side for an engineering company AND is creating another prototype for a third project in Europe. Add to that, his wife's car died completely and cannot be revived, so he is frantically rebuilding her a car...thank goodness he is so talented...they cannot afford a new car.

LilyRose is recovering well...she has already unravelled seven balls of wool on me...she looks so funny scampering away with a huge ball of wool in her teeth..usually the ball is four times the size of her lttle head.  This moning, after noting the pile of "toys"  that SOMEONE has stacked around the kitten as she slept, I told JB that she has him wrapped around her furry little paw (yup, it was Mr Macho who babies this kitten).  His response was "she had me at the first sight of her..so tiny and with that poor crooked body but such a beautiful clean little scrap of feisty kitten"......yes, folks, it's true...Mr Macho has a soft heart for LilyRose.

Mother seems to be right back to feeling strong and feisty too.  She told me today that she is in her NINETYth year.  She wants to change her will again..this is getting ridiculous, but she is still of sound mind so I keep my mouth shut.

This evening, I am meeting my friend, Ginette, for our annual Christmas dinner at Red Lobster.  She is recovering from the shock of her husband's suicide.  His letters were very hateful to her, and the ones he wrote to his family, his lawyer and her lawyer, were setting all the blame completely in Ginette's lap.  He attempted to even control what she gets by changing his will the week before.  However, they weren't even legally separated, so she is legally considered the widow.  How sad that a person can get so unbalanced and hurtful, and then taking their own life to add to it all.

Anyway, Ginette and I will finally exchange Christmas gifts, much to the amusement of the wait staff there (who all know me), I'm sure.  I've already planned what I'm having..grilled shrimp & salad..no biscuits.  So I'm not concerned about over-doing.  Except for the biscuits, Red Lobster makes it so easy to eat healthy.

I made a great pot roast in the crockpot yesterday so JB can have that and Derek is going out to pick up his tux for his buddy Henrik's wedding on Saturday and they will eat out later.

Well, back to the drawing board.  Enjoy your day!!!

George good luck on the blood tests.
Well I made it to Big lots today. Nothing special thre. I am looking for Tazo Tea. Seems I can only taste Sweet Orange passion Tea not sure why it is only faint. So I got a box at Starbucks last night.
Today is very cold here not is is 43 and sunny. It got  below freezing last night.
I was wondering if it was going to snow or not.
I was so excited. I found one of my long lost friends whom I havent seen since 05. So I called her and she was so surprized. I found her daughter on facebook and asked her daughter email me her phone number and she did.
Well time for a nap. Talk to you later.

Hi George and my OFF family:

Aw, gee, no one wondered where I was!

I have had the day from hell today ... well, almost. Two good things did happen: I got my income tax refund (federal) and my lump sum paycheck (from work). So I have money! But most of it is going to pay bills. So it's almost all gone ... say bye-bye!

But the rest of the day has been frustrating and busy. I haven't been able to get online at home all day. Tried to this morning and was unable to ... couldn't check my payroll deposit, so finally I just called the credit union (luckily, it's such a small credit union) and talked to the teller who lives in my condo complex ... asked her about my payroll deposit and she said I had two deposits. What a nice surprise. I just filed last Wednesday ... that was so quick! Thank you, Uncle Sam, for the economic stimulus!

So then I was off to PT, but the therapist really worked me hard. Then I went to Hallmark for some cards and found some really good bargains on the 75 percent off shelves, then to one grocery store where I needed a few things ... funny story there, the electric scooter started to die as I was heading to the checkout register and another customer had to push me there (I had a little juice left ... a customer service person was getting me another cart, but I would have had to unload and reload ... well, you get the picture). Then off to Meijer for the really big shopping trip, finished up there and then over to Walgreens to pick up prescriptions. Geez, our copays have gone up! Now it's $80 for my Topamax (migraine preventive), $30 more than before. Yikes! Two prescriptions cost me $100. I got home about 1:20, unloaded and had lunch shortly before 2 p.m.

From 2:30 p.m. on, I spent the time on the phone with AT&T Internet tech support trying to get online ... talked with Romeo (from India, I presume) at first (although he spoke very good English and I understood him well). I rebooted my computer, modem, etc. ... redid my Internet connection, etc.  .... nothing worked. Finally, he handed me off to his supervisor, John, in Texas ... he still couldn't get it to work and finally decided he was sending a new modem by overnight shipment. Hopefully, I'll get it tomorrow. By then, it was nearly 4 p.m. and time to get dressed and ready for work. Just enough time to scoop the litter boxes, make lunch, take out the garbage, get dressed ... one of my ear lobes is bleeding again every time I put an earring in it (anyone else have this problem? What do you do for it?)

On the way into work, I stopped off at the credit union, got a cashier's check for the condo association so they can get off my back (or at least mostly off my back, it's not for all of what I owe them). I had to edit the Religion page column when I got here (always a joy ... really ... he's such a good writer and I'm going to miss reading him when he leaves ... he's one of those that took the buyouts).

Needless to say, my leg has been down all day and really hurts now. I want to take a break and put it up with some ice packs and rest for awhile. I took a vicodin when I got into the office because it was hurting so much. I need to get up for awhile and do my exercises, but then I'm going to sit down and have lunch (dinner, whatever you want to call my evening meal).

So you can see why it's been a good/bad type of day. The only good thing about the crazy afternoon is I wasn't able to graze ... that's a real good thing.

Have a good evening. I hope I can get online tomorrow afternoon from home.
